Luminopolis

Friday, 3rd October 2008
Starting at 10pm and finishing at 8am
SEOne Club London Bridge, Weston Street, SE1 London UK

With another summer has gone by and after many adventures in the fields the we are preparing for another magical season of your favourite indoor festival!

Following a trademark dispute earlier this year with the Camberwell-based Synergy Centre, The Synergy Project has agreed to change its name to Luminopolis (meaning “city of light”). Although often confused due their similar names and shared roots, The Synergy Project and The Synergy Centre have always been separate organisations – our name change simply reflects this and clears up the confusion – The Synergy Project is dead! Long live Luminopolis!!

However rest assured that nothing about the event itself will change and Luminopolis will still be organised by us – the same production crew that ran The Synergy Project. We will continue to gather an ever growing community of creative, and pro-active organizations involving musicians, producers, Djs, Vjs, performers, healers, organizers, activists, intellectuals, and forward thinking individuals, coming together to promote and support the work of NGO’s and charities, and hopefully inspire many to get involved in the ever growing movement for social and environmental regeneration.

THE “SECOND SUMMER OF LOVE” 20th ANNIVERSARY SYMPOSIUM

Like the ‘First Summer of Love’ which started in Haight-Ashbury and went on to change the world, this important happening spread fast from places like London and Ibiza and likewise changed the world. We invite you to participate as we go back in time to 1988 and see why, where, when and how the ‘Second Summer of Love’ happened and the impact it had on both the Mainstream and the Counterculture.

A panel featuring Counterculture visionary FRASER CLARK (founder of the legendary groundbreaking alternative club ‘Megatripolis’) and KATE ‘MAGIC’ WOOD (author of the much awaited forthcoming book on the history of the ‘Second Summer of Love’: ’88: The Untold History of a Revolution), MARK HELEY (Waveform Festival), MIXMASTER MORRIS (The Irresistible Force) and WAYNE ANTHONY (author of ‘Class of 88’) will help lead the path to the past with a view to understanding the present state of the rave scene and navigating into the future as well. Music and film from the period will feature as well. This event is a don’t miss for all Luminopolitans.
